Want to change Politics? The Solution Is To Change The Law

The 99% have been criticized for not coherently presenting what they want. This website will change that. It presents the Twenty-first Century Reform Bill: a Bill that will give real democracy to the People. The Bill is designed to amend the constitution of any democracy that has fallen prey to its political parties. This website also presents a series of books entitled Cure Democracy with More Democracy. They will explain the Reform Bill. The first Volume, Cure Our Politics, is available now. Volume # 2, Cure Our Economy, will be available shortly.

About the book: Volume 1 – Cure Our Politics

While political parties are vital to a democracy, today’s parties have so much power that they are now a threat to democracy. The solution is to make their bad behaviour illegal. With the passage of the Twenty-first Century Reform Bill, “the Will of the People” will be elevated to the supreme legal force in the land. The politicians must do our bidding or they will be in criminal contempt of the law. Nothing less will do.

These reforms can be adopted by any grass-roots movement. The streets can once again fill with the 99%; only this time they will have a concrete proposal. The accompanying book not only explains the Bill but it also provides a roadmap to its implementation.

This Reform Bill ensures that political parties will never again be able to select candidates for office: that will be the People’s job via run-off elections. Candidates must be financed via the treasury (without breaking the bank) and it will be illegal to bribe, coerce, or influence, a candidate in any way.

Your Elected Representatives will be free from all interference; and free to vote for the legislation that will be best for you. Freed from their corporate masters, political parties will revert to their original uses – as centers where citizens can congregate for the purpose of changing government policy: but with ideas, not money. Do you want to see your future? Just look around. The Occupy Movements are forming the kernels of the new political parties. No corporation dominance there!
